WHAT WMOD RADIO IS ALL ABOUT

First, a little history . . .

On August 1, 1976, the Federal Communications Commission granted Bolivar Broadcasting Service, Inc. a license to broadcast at 3000 watts using the call letters WQKZ-FM.

In 1987, the station license was sold to the West Tennessee Radio Network.  A year later, in 1988, the station call letters were changed to WMOD-FM.

Who we are now . . .

In 1997, the station was sold to WMOD, Inc., and it remains family owned and operated.

WMOD uses ABC's Real Country format, a mix of classic and new country music, featuring new artists such as George Strait, Reba, and Alan Jackson while playing oldies from Tom T. Hall, Johnny Cash and Willie Nelson.
